General Waste

Permittable Waste Items
Most general household waste – boxes, timber, furniture, white goods, electrical appliances, clothes, toys, carpet, green waste

Prohibited Waste Items
Bricks, concrete, soil, food waste, asbestos, liquid waste (paints, oils, thinners, chemicals), tyres, LPG cylinders, batteries



Brick & Concrete

Permittable Waste Items
Bricks, pavers, concrete, ceramic floor tiles and roof tiles are allowed. No other materials can be included, even in the smallest quantities as disposal facilities are very strict on enforcing this rule

Prohibited Waste Items
Any other waste type other than what is described in “Permittable Waste Items”



Sand, Dirt & Soil

Permittable Waste Items
Clean dirt, soil & sand. No other materials can be included, even in the smallest quantities as disposal facilities are very strict on enforcing this rule

Green Waste

Permittable Waste Items
Grass, leaves, branches, woodchips, bark & other organic material

General Notes

  • Soil & concrete CAN NOT be mixed with general rubbish
  • Soil & concrete CAN NOT be mixed together
  • NO weight limit on clean fill
  • NO weight limit on concrete
  • Inner spring mattresses can be placed in the skip bins if this is arranged prior to delivery
    In order to cover processing costs dumping mattresses incurs an additional fee on top of the hire cost. Please refer to Skip Bin Hire page for further details.
